A 67-year-old Massachusetts man, who was injured a crash in Vermont earlier this month, has died from his injuries, according to Vermont State Police.

Hermis Yanis of Douglas died Monday around 5:30 p.m. in a New Hampshire hospital. He had been in the hospital since the Oct. 13 crash.

Troopers responded to a crash on East West Road in Dummerston, Vermont around 1:13 p.m. that day. The crash involved two motorcycles and a car.

Yanis was riding a 2014 Harley Davidson Motorcycle traveling west on East West Road when it crossed over into the eastbound lane, striking a 2017 Toyota Rav 4 driven by John Farnsworth, 32, of Vermont.

The motorcycle then struck the side of another motorcycle.

Yanis and his passenger, 62-year-old Deborah Cote of Worcester, were thrown from the motorcycle.

The man riding the second motorcycle, 54-year-old George Degenova of Charlton, was not injured along with Farnsworth.

Cote remains in stable condition at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. She had several broken ribs and internal injuries, state police said.

The crash remains under investigation.
