Three people were transported to hospitals Wednesday night after a two-car crash on the Taconic State Parkway, according to state police.
A 42-year-old man was driving a Mercedes van when he entered the Taconic into oncoming southbound traffic in Pleasant Valley, police said. He was transported to Vassar Brothers Medical Center with minor injuries.
A 27-year-old man driving a Subaru crashed into the van and suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries, police said. The passenger was a 27-year-old woman who suffered minor injuries. They were transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital, police said.
The parkway was closed from approximately 8:15 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., police said, the closure was about a quarter of a mile and traffic was directed to Route 44.
The crash remains under investigation, police said.
